HTC Asks ITC to Ban iPhone, iPad and iPod over Patent Infringements
Apple is suing HTC over supposed patent infringements and for some time HTC hasn’t responded to those allegations; however it appear that HTC has now done so in the usual tit-for-tat manner by filing their own complaint with the International Trade Commission.
According to an article over on engadget, HTC has file a complaint with the ITC asking for sales and importation of Apple products, namely the iPhone, iPod and iPad to be banned due to allegedly infringing on five HTC patents.
However, apparently HTC hasn’t backed up this complaint by filing a federal lawsuit yet, and no reason has been given for not doing so, so no doubt we’ll have to see just how this one pans out further along the line.
As for those five alleged HTC patent infringements, according to an article over on gizmodo, 2 refer to personalised phone diallers, another 2 are over power management while the remaining one is over a phone dialler with easy access memory, more as and when we know.
