Apple iPad 3G Will Get Integrated SIM-card, But Not iPhone

Earlier on today we reported that Apple bowed down to carriers and have now abandoned its integrated iPhone SIM plans, but apparently this is not the case for the iPad 3G.

Thanks to the Telegraph they reported that the Apple iPhone will not be getting integrated SIM-card system, but Apple will be upgrading its iPad series with a new release iPad WiFi + 3G model with an integrated SIM-card system, which means it will upgrade the current micro-SIM card system.

Apple can do this with the iPad and not the iPhone because the iPad is not carrier-subsidized; this is great news on the whole grand scale of things.

Apparently, according to 9to5Mac the new Apple iPad could lose its lock switch on the side and become a new mute switch, if all the reports are correct the new iPad could launch somewhere between late December or early January but like others we are wondering if Apple will indeed release the new tablet sometime in March or April.

Keep coming back to us as we have much more new on Apple and its new iOS 4.2 release date, if you have anything to say about the above news please scroll down to our comments area to have your say. Thanks
