iPhone 4S Unlocked Available As of Nov In US
If you are in the market for an unlocked iPhone 4S over the pond in the good old US of A the word is you’ll have to wait until sometime in November, however apparently Apple has decided that the unlocked US iPhone 4S will not work on CDMA.
According to the guys over at Apple Insider, although Apple has revealed the iPhone 4S will become available unlocked and contract free as of November, the unlocked version will only support GSM networks and not CDMA.
This will mean of course if you purchase the unlocked iPhone 4S you wont be able to play nice on Verizon or Sprint networks, but you will be able to use the iOS smartphone on international GSM networks.
The iPhone 4S off contract will be available in all three capacities, and in both black and white versions, and prices are as follows…the 16GB will cost $649; the 32GB will cost $749 while the 64GB will hit your pocket for $849.
Furthermore, apparently Apple has stated that anyone purchasing an unlocked GSM iPhone 4S in November may be subject to a credit check, and that customers must be 18 years of age or over.
Not sure why Apple has decided the unlocked iPhone 4S will not be able to play on a CDMA network, as the smartphone is supposed to be a world iPhone meaning the device can work on both GSM and CDMA networks.
Will you be purchasing an unlocked and contract free iPhone 4S come November, if so feel free to let us know by dropping us a comment below. If you have enjoyed this Phones Review article feel free to add me your circles on Google+ and I will of course add you back.

why the credit check ? I mean even if someone pays in full, he’ll have to get his credit checked ?Â
As South Africa only has GSM networks I will be getting the 4s when I come and visit at the beginning of November, hopefully it is out by the time I get thereÂ
