52 million to use mobile phone payments by 2011.
Juniper Research forecasts that somewhere in the region of 52 million customers will adopt new mobile technologies using such as Near Field Communications and other mobile payment schemes to pay for everyday goods and services, and this should drive the mobile payment market to the region of $11.5billion by the same year. According to Juniper Research found that 12% of the total mobile phones in circulation will offer contractless payment which will equal nearly 470 million NFC enables headsets worldwide which provide a significant markerplace for retailers to offer their goods.
