A sales clerk has been awarded £7.000 after he was fired for texting in sick, Mark Morrison say’s he was total unaware of this after he took two weeks off work due to his brother sadly passing away and Mark getting depression.

Before Mr Morrison returned to his job he was summoned to disciplinary hearings were he was fired for not abiding to company rules.

He then went on to fight his corner and told them he had received no prior warnings.

In my opinion a phone call could have been made even in this sad event, this would of then sorted out any further stress of been fired.
