Aurora Systems are one of the best manufactures of liquid crystal on silicon displays or better known as LCoS and with that they have just introduced a newly developed Micro LCD display called the LAZR IMAGR (Seems they like the way Motorola spell things ah).
The LAZR IMAGR Micro LCD display can be fitted into mobile phone projectors and of course other mobile apps, the LAZR IMAGR will come in a variety of sizes and resolutions which range from VGA (640 x 480) right up to WXGA (1280 x 768).
As usual there is no information on which company will use these display panels, just so we can keep you updated on all the latest stuff, Aurora have also developed another chipset called the LAZR DRIVR, which is a device designed to enhance VGA and SVGA resolutions plus will allow memory to be embedded in the driver chip to limit total power consumption.
How soon will we see these in our mobile phones, is another question which we will answer when we find out.
