All across the globe people text like crazy, probably due to it being cheaper than calling, and well according to the latest report coming from Research and Markets, this year will see in excess of 2 Trillion, (Yes that’s 2,000,000,000,000) SMS text messages will be tapped out and sent.
This 2 trillion is expected to bring in somewhere in the region of $65 – $75 billion. However, although mobile messaging volumes continue to increase, revenues will probably fall slightly due to slowing revenue growth because of increased competition and market saturation. Where is this expected growth coming from you may well ask, well as usual it’s coming from the Asia — Pacific regions.
