The next generation 3G Apple iPhone is apparently going to surprise Apple iPhone fans with its new “radically different” appearance to that of the present iPhone handset, reports Times Online. According to a business article currently on the Times Online website: “Industry sources told Times Online that the device will have a ‘radically different’ appearance to the current device, which has a 4.5-inch [sic] screen and slick, aluminium backing. Among the possibilities are flip version, which would enable the screen to be larger, and a sliding model with a regular QWERTY keyboard – as opposed to a touch-screen one.”
The Times Online article also says that iPhone giant Apple have placed an order of 20,000 new 3G iPhone handsets with their Asian suppliers to be produced by May’s end, and rising to 2,000,000 in June. Apple’s 3G version of the mobile handset is due out in 08; with June marking the one year anniversary of the launch of the Apple iPhone it is probably going to be the debut month for the 3G version.
