Nokia has just released 3 Series 40 mobile handsets a fold and a slide 6600 and a slide 3600. Beginning at the lower end is the 3600, a slide design that is quad-band EDGE/GSM with a selling price of 175 EUR when it reaches the public sometime in Q3 this year. The 3600 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and record VGA resolution video, 2 inch display with 240 x 320 resolution, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, 860 mAh battery, TV out but capped, and microSDHC compatible up to 4GB. The 3600 measures 97.8 x 47.2 x 14.5 and weighs 97.3 grams.
Then we have the first of the two 6600’s, the first being a slider design with quad-band EDGE/GSM along with dual-band WCDMA 850 and 2100 Mhz, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 2.2 inch display with 240 x 320 resolution, VGA video recording at 15fps, QVGA at 30 fps, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, microUSB, and 1000 mAh battery. The 6600 slide measures 90 x 45 x 14mm, weighs in at 110 grams, and will set you back 250 EUR.
Last but not least is the 6600 Fold, the most expensive of the three sports a 2.13 inch OLED display with 240 x 320 resolution, 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, VGA video recording at 15 fps, QVGA at 30 fps, quad-band GSM/EDGE and UMTS 850 2100 Mhz, and it is possible that according to the spreadsheet it has Nokia’s “Mini Map” browser. The 6600 Fold handset will set you back 275 EUR once it hits the shelves in Q3, and it runs “Series 40 SPR7.2” which we think is more advanced than the S40 5th Edition.
