The much rumoured Tony Hawk branded Sidekick LX makes its debut appearance, and looking every bit the skater boy’s dream machine with a “Skateboard look and feel” and complete with “grip tape texture” and even the skateboarding legend’s moniker plastered all over the bezel.

Apparently though the Tony Hawk edition Sidekick LX isn’t just about branding because T-Mobile are apparently using the Tony Hawk launch to also launch a hearty LX firmware update as well which incorporates video recording.

Also to be included in this LX firmware update is stereo Bluetooth, some type of video sharing capability, additional themes, and loads more besides so T-Mobile is saying. All this should become available to download sometime this summer by over-the-air update.

Obviously the Tony Hawk edition Sidekick LX is going to be a huge pull to skateboarding fans and Tony Hawk fans alike and should be available via T-Mobile in mid July.
