How about some FCC goodness? It appears Sony Ericsson have a mobile handset called the TM506, which judging by outward appearance only looks to be a bit like a clone of the Z780, but the TM560 packed a touch of AWS under its hood.
The word on the FCC documentation has the Sony Ericsson TM506 as at least dual-band GSM/EDGE 850/1900MHz and probably packs 1800 as well. The user manual hints it has WCDMA 1700/2100 so is probably earmarked for the US on T-Mobile as it has T-Mobile branding, and wrapped up in a stylishly alluring metallic green casing.
Other than 3G the Sony Ericsson TM506 packs aGPS, Bluetooth, an undisclosed camera of some type, and memory card slot. FCC documentation also gives the hint that the TM506 can access TV and streaming videos. This little bit of news means the Sony Ericsson TM506 might be one of the first mobile phones for T-Mobile that can access T-Mobile’s 3G data services, however that particular piece of assumption cannot be confirmed by the FCC documents.
We are guessing the Sony Ericsson tacking the TM onto this one means T-Mobile, perhaps this is a telltale sign that Sony Ericsson is at last attempting to rekindle a relationship with T-Mobile after a few long years. As now as it seems Sony Ericsson is doing their part, maybe we will be seeing T-Mobile shell out some fresh 3G airwaves for this to sail on.
