iLounge along with Bowers & Wilkins have announced the Quest for the Best iPhone App Contest, which is a contest for official Apple iPhone developers, the winners of which will win one of three B&W Zeppelin speaker systems.

As of 11th July the Apple iPhone and iPod officially gains the ability to run downloadable apps distributed via Apple’s App Store and iTunes Store. As we all know there are hundreds of apps in development and users of the iPhone and iPod Touch will wish to know if they are worthy of their attention.

So as now until July 23rd iPhone developers can submit screenshots and details of their App Store ready apps to iLounge’s Apps Gallery where each app ill receive its own page and help reader learn about each product and its features.

iLounge judges will then announce the top three apps from all submissions on the 25th July, and award each winner with a Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin worth $599.00USD, and a $100.00 Apple Store gift card. Please note: Only App Store-published applications, available to the public as of July 25, are eligible to win prizes.

There will be one overall winner from each of three categories which are Business/Professional, Games, and Just Plain Cool. iLounge says: We may use the “Just Plain Cool” category to recognize an especially creative or well-executed program that doesn’t fall into one of the other categories, or we might pick a second game or business application that really impresses us.
