Word surfing the net waves lately is that the States number 4 wireless carrier will be taking its nascent 3G network up to the next level which will be a nationwide roll-out beginning on the 1st October.
Although we suggest at present this be taken with a touch of salt as we cannot verify this rumour one way or the other.
However, if said whispers are indeed true that T-Mobile will be sparking up its 1700MHz 3G network in no less than 27 new markets we should be seeing it running in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Sacramento which is only a few new markets.
T-Mobile actually blessed New York with its 3G network earlier this year, and we believe it has always been on the card for the faster data network to go nationwide at some stage, it is only a matter of when.
So what places can expect to see T-Mobile’s 3G coverage? How about Austin, Atlanta, Birmingham, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Memphis, Minneapolis, New England, NJ and Long Island, Orlando, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, Sacramento, Seattle, San Francisco, Tampa and Washington, D.C.
Oh, and please remember, it’s a rumour so that October 1st date won’t be carved in stone or even on paper at the moment.
