It’s already common knowledge that the Samsung flagship Omnia i900 smartphone will be released in Europe sometime this summer, and now there is conformation that Samsung’s “iPhone killer” will be popping up in Germany this August.
Apparently, the four major carriers in Germany, T-Mobile, O2, Vodafone and E-Plus will all be carrying the Samsung Omnia i900 all-touch-screen equipped mobile phone.
Furthermore, as of August 6th, an unlocked 8GB Samsung Omnia i900 handset will become available for a staggering price of 649 EUR, which is kind of expensive, but you do gain the advantage of not being tied to a contract.
No doubt most already are aware of specs but here’s a quick remined…the Samsung Omnia i900 totes a 3.2 inch WQVGA touch-screen, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 5 megapixel camera, along with the usual array of mobile gizmos.
At present there is no word from any of the four carriers on carrier-subsidised pricing, but one can guess the heavy business users will probably gain the Samsung Omnia i900 handset for virtually zilch.
