The Sony Corporation announced today 8th September that they are to launch a new license program”Designed for Walkman®”

Sony also discloses specifications for “WM-PORT”, which is an exclusive multi-terminal to connect a Walkman with Walkman compatible accessories to approved licensees.

“The disclosure of “WM-PORT” specifications will enable various manufacturers to produce exclusive accessories for enjoyment with Walkman® products*1.”

Also licensees can feature the “Designed for Walkman®” logo on packaging along with other Sony approved “WM-PORT” products.
