A new iPhone chip is in the making according to Wei-han Lien a senior manager of Apple’s chip team. The information was posted by Wei-han Lien on a public social networking site Linkedin, the post said that he was busy at work crafting an ARM processor for the next-generation iPhone.
Ok, it’s only a posting and it’s not the most exciting article in the world but Lien’s statement just makes us just that little bit more sure about what Apple’s plans are. Apple brought PA semiconductor in April costing almost $300 million for a re a chip start-up company.
We knew when Steve Jobs Apple’s chief executive told us that the PA Semi team would be designing brand-new processors for future iPods and iPhones, however, we were never sure what kind of processors he was talking about.
