The latest from O2 is that they have stopped offering 12 month contracts to customers across their entire range of mobile phones.
This shift from 12 month term contracts will apply to both O2 consumer channels, the O2 stores as well as The Carphone Warehouse, online and telesales, and reflects the move towards 18 month contracts within the market.
Customers however have in the past resisted signing for lengthy contracts due to how quickly mobile phones become out dated in terms of style design and features. So has this changed? Customers will still not want to sign for a lengthy period so why drop the 12 month term one has to wonder.
