The word is that Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone are in discussions with a view to Vodafone returning to Carphone Warehouse as a supplier, with talk of post-pay contracts and even more specifically mobile broadband.

Vodafone is on the lookout for consumer connections and has even been assessing their options as the exclusive tie up with Phones 4u. A firm deal between Vodafone and Carphone warehouse is far from secure at present and could even collapse.

Vodafone wants to increase their distribution lines to catch up with the likes of O2, and is apparently to announce a new service before Christmas, which sources say is “extremely exciting.”
