Looks like Virgin Mobile USA are about to face a spot of legal bother as MetroPCS Communications Inc prepare to take Virgin Mobile USA to court over a MetroPCS program which allows handsets from Virgin and other carriers to be reconfigured to operate on the MetroPCS network.
The dispute is over MetroPCS’s MetroFlash program which was launched on 26th July and allows customers to “reflash” certain mobile phones so they work with the MetroPCS network.
The MetroFlash program will work on non MetroPCS handsets that use CDMA. Unfortunately MetroPCS has declined to comment on the matter.
