According to a campaign group, young women chatting on their mobile phones when they are out alone at night could be putting themselves at risk.
Apparently a survey of seventeen to twenty-four year old women has found that eighty-two percent of young women chat on their mobile handset while out. Furthermore fifty-four percent believe it makes them safer as this allows them to easily call for help if needed.
However, according to the safety group, Suzy Lamplugh Trust, the use of a mobile phone could easily distract a young woman from any potential danger.
So what’s your view; is using a mobile phone more of a danger or less?
