Nokia home Finland: handset sales up 42 percent
Finland is knows to have the most advanced mobile phone markets in the world, being home to Nokia the global handset maker it is no wonder that Finland is seen as a trend setter in the mobile industry elsewhere.
According to Finnish Mobile Communication’s who are the main industry organization, wholesale deliveries of mobile phones to retailers in Finland surged a massive 41 percent from September 2007 to September 2008.
Last month the number of phones shipped to Finland went up to 216.610 the mobile communication supplier said in a statement on October 15.
The wholesale price on average went from 129 euro’s last month rising to 143 ($195.40) euros this month.
