LG is launched the LG Mobile World Cup, which is a contest to find the worlds fastest texter with speed and accuracy. The contest began in Korea on 27th of October, and is an annual global competition for competitors to battle against their peers to determine who in the world can send a text message the fastest and without any mistakes.

According to Gartner, market research company, it is estimated this year alone 2.5 trillion texts will be sent, and will reach a staggering 5.6 trillion by the year 2012.

The first round is a series of national contests, and the winners will move on to the regional championships, and the regional champions will face off in the final round of the LG Mobile World Cup to win the title of “The World’s Fastest Texter.”
