For the rich Japanese, Softbank Mobile unveiled a line of luxury mobile phones which have been encrusted with diamonds, and Softbank has said they will sell a limited run of just ten mobile phones each studded with 537 diamonds from Tiffany & Co with a total weight of 18.34 carats.
Each Softbank 823SF Tiffany mobile handset will command a price tag of around 13 million yen which is approximately $130,265 and each phone when flipped open has a display also designed by Tiffany’s of New York.
Japan is the world’s largest market for luxury mobile phones, and earlier this year NTT DoCoMo also launched a Prada designed handset, and fashion house Gucci has launched a website for Gucci branded products which can only be access via a Japanese mobile handset.
