We know the Apple iPhone is in an on off relationship with the Chinese market and for some reason seems to be unable to commit fully to the most populated market available, but it seems the unlocked Google Android HTC G1 is selling like wildfire in China, and hasn’t gone unnoticed by HTC.

The word sailing the net waves is that HTC is about to get official and pledge to see the Google Android G1 hit the Asia-Pacific market sometime in the first half of next year.

Other news has the HTC Touch 3G going on sale in Taiwan right now, while the HTC Touch HD will follow by the year’s end. If HTC can actually trounce Apple in getting out on the streets of China it would certainly be a most epic of coups.
