The Carphone Warehouse has confirmed they may split TalkTalk from the rest of the group, the confirmation comes with Carphone Warehouse founder and chief executive, Charles Dunstone saying the group has reached a watershed in evolution and the current structure may no longer be appropriate.
Dunstone founded the group in 1989 stated: “The next 12 months are likely to represent the most challenging economic climate we have ever operated in. But added that the group, which has little debt, is “very well positioned to withstand the financial turmoil”.
Sales from TalkTalk dropped 2% to £697 million however this still puts them ahead of analyst’s predictions of £694 million. Rumours that Vodafone were interested in purchasing TalkTalk has been ruled out by Vodafone, a similar rumour with BSkyB is also untrue.
