Apple iPhone gains Gap and Target apps

Apple has held a briefing with several developer partners and gave a sneak preview as to what is heading for the Apple iPhone during the holiday season. Apparently two iPhone apps stood out because they were ads for Gap and Target. Both are launching their first Apple iPhone applications in time for Christmas.

The Gap and Target apps are designed to help a shopper make gift decisions for family and friends in an entertaining way, and Gap and Target aim to promote their ads by placing high-profile banners on sites visited by iPhone users.

The idea is for these promotional banners to encourage iPhoners to download the free applications to their Apple iPhone.
