Extensive use of Research in Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry Storm by Information Week has highlighted several severe problems with the smartphone. One being the battery life, RIM say that the Storm has 6 hours talk time but on a full charge of battery charged at 8am by midnight the Storm was flashing signals saying “Low battery”.
Typing on the BlackBerry also scored pretty low marks, its very slow and frustrating, you have to be forceful when you touch the screen and wait for it to click back before preceding to your next character the whole texting experience becomes very tiresome on the Storm.
The worse thing of all with the RIM BlackBerry Storm is that is pretty infested with bugs (not the creepy crawly kind) for instance the accelerometer hardly ever works like it is suppose to, literally it can take up to a minute for the Storm to catch up when you rotate the phone, not only that sometimes the Storm has a mind of its own and decides to switch from Horizontal viewing for no apparent reason.
