Research in Motion (RIM) have used a philosophy with its BlackBerry Devices, the name is logical, easy to remember and simple. We have the BlackBerry Bold with its extremely stylish professional look that even has a faux leather back to it, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip, no guessing this is RIM’s flip phone design and the non-flip version the BlackBerry Pearl with its translucent tracker ball.

Then of you course you have the BlackBerry Storm, RIM’s first ever touchscreen and the Apple iPhone’s main competition, but sadly we don’t think the storm is all it’s cracked up to be, the first thing missing is the sturdy BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard, what you do get is a slow frustrating clickable touchscreen, and it’s done little to impress the BlackBerry fans.

Although with the BlackBerry Storm you get two types of keyboards, the full QWERTY keyboard if you hold the phone landscape and the SureType if you hold the Storm portrait, unfortunately although a great idea, its a different matter to execute.

To scroll on the Storm is tiresome too, there is no option for you to scroll through a whole list quickly like you would say on the iPhone, and if you want to navigate on your BlackBerry Storm, which is an obvious assumption, you will find that equally as exhausting, everything takes up to 5 seconds to perform after a command, so if you accidently turn the Storm the wrong way it can become very frustrating to use.

If you are a BlackBerry Fan and want to buy the perfect thanksgiving gift for yourself (why not) before you part with your $200 for the Storm on a Verizon two-year contract we suggest you play with the Storm for as long as you can to make sure it’s the BlackBerry for you, don’t forget the Pearl, Bold and Curve give them all a go and see which feels the most comfortable for you.
