Next month the Orange network will begin offering mobile TV in HD to customers with the hybrid mobile fixed Unik handset, and sixty channels will be accessible. The Orange hybrid mobile phones will auto-connect to the LiveBox either at home or via any Orange Hotspot in France, and if 3G is unavailable it will switch to WiFi coverage.
Launched last summer, the UMA Orange 3G Platform will have access to the TV channels, and subscribers will have unlimited access to 20 included in their subscription.
Currently this service will only be available to the Sony Ericsson G705U and the LG KF757 handsets, and will be available to Orange’s 1 million Unik subscribers on the Orange TV Player or Orange World Portal.
