WavePhone from iRiver released early in Korea

ReignCom has released their first mobile phone in the Korean market called the iRiver Wave or Wavephone. The WavePhone features a 3 inch 480 x 272 touch-screen with handwriting recognition and internet access via WiFi.

The iRiver WavePhone also supports VoIP and will play MP3, WMA, and OGG audio files as well as MPEG1, 2, 2.5 and MPEG4 video files, an FM tune, as well as incorporating 4GB of storage wich is expandable via microSD card.

The iRiver WavePhone has had an initial limited launch in ten iRiver Korean stores, and presumable a larger launch will happen in March 09 the original launch date. No word on pricing or if it will ever see the light of day in the west though.
