Sending texts is on the up and is fast taking over the world, and the word is that the United States is the main contender for the most texting nation out there. Apparently according to statistics, even though Europe had a head start in the texting stakes, the US now sends far more SMS texts per month than Europeans.
A study of texting made by Portio Research found that the US monthly texting volume is actually double the amount in Europe, which is an important fact as SMS texts are expected to remain the highest source of data revenue for the wireless networks.
Furthermore it is also expected that the usage of mobile email numbers is likely to quadruple, rising from 250 million to about 1 billion mobile emails by 2013.
