This one seems to have been struggling on forever, and every now and them up pops the Garmin Nuvifone to give us a shake up reminded. It was announced a year ago, and apparently still exists, and this time conformation of the Nuvifone’s existence comes from none other than the FCC itself.
Scanning the FCC documentation, the “Calf” from Asus actually turns out to be the Nuvifone, once you click on through the label diagrams that it.
FCC test documents show that 3G is being tested on both bands II and V which makes the Nuvifone 850/1900MHz North American friendly. So who knows after a whole year of coming to the brink of day and dropping back into the night, maybe the Nuvifone is about to break cover.
