Apparently, the word is that Sony Ericsson is planning to outsource their 2nd Windows Mobile based smartphone to Mobinnova who are a Taiwan based company, the handset maker under Foxconn Electronics rather than sticking with HTC.

The partnership between Sony Ericsson and HTC will come to an end when the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 completes its business circle.

Although Sony Ericsson will continue to expand their line up of Windows Mobile handset just not via HTC. So looks like HTC are out in the cold with Sony Ericsson, but will Mobinnova make as good a job as HTC would, guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
