Remember a while ago an argument between Research In Motion and Motorola as they squared up to each other over employee poaching? Well apparently Motorola is attempting to put a block not on just currently employed workers but fired ones too, and so the BlackBerry maker is striking back.
The mutual agreement between Motorola and RIM expired back in August, but cheeky Motorola is still trying to enforce said agreement, so Research In Motion is suing Motorola.
Sounds to me like a rather stupid move by Motorola if said agreement has already expired. One would have thought Motorola has enough problems what with their junk credit, dropping rep, and their Android development shoving everything else out the door. And really, just what gives any employer the right to decide who a fired employee works for, surely once fired it is the right of that employee to seek gainful employment elsewhere and with whomever?
