It looks like QR bar codes which enable users to grab information via a swipe of their mobile phone is on its way to the UK. The QR bar code system is rapidly becoming a cult status in Japan and allows the scanning of such items as a poster so you can find out cinema times, a pack of tomatoes so you can find out what farm they come from ect.
This tech is preparing to assault the British consumer following a major QR bar code campaign in the UK. The QR codes have apparently been slowly creeping into the UK consumer scene over the past year.
Pepsi now has QR codes, for the first time, on 400 million of their products which offer the mobile phone user instant access to websites, prizes, videos, games and entertainment all accessed with a simple swipe of the mobile phone.
