At Macworld Expo 2009, Altec Lansing introduced their BackBeat 903/6 Bluetooth headset and will also be showing then at CES 2009. The BackBeat 903/6 was developed in conjunction with Bluetooth earpiece manufacturer Plantronics.
Plantronic’s dual-mic audioIQ tech has been incorporated into the BackBeat 903/6, and users can dial by voice, transfer calls from headset to the phone and back and redial numbers.
The BackBest 903/6 Bluetooth headset also includes a transmitter which endows mobile handsets such as the Apple iPhone with Bluetooth A2DP for streaming music, and has a Bluetooth operating range from a paired handset of 33 feet, and will become available in February at $130 with Apple iPhone transmitter or $100 without.
