MobileFiles suite for the Apple iPhone has been announced by Quickoffice which enables the iPhoner to view all PowerPoint 2003 and 2007, Excel, MS Word, and Adobe PDF files along with music files, video and images including those stored on a MobileMe iDisk account.

The major selling point of Quickoffice’s MobileFiles Pro suite is its ability to create and edit Excel 2003 files in xls format, and sports an extensive package of options which include formatting, undo/redo and inserting/resizing rows.

MobileFiles also supports viewing iWork files with the Pro version and functionality updates are promised to come in 2009. Quickoffice MobileFiles Pro is available at the Apple iTunes App Store for $9.99 and there is also a free non-Pro version which lacks Excel editing and iWork.
