It has been for some time rumoured that Canada’s Fido will start selling Research In Motion’s BlackBerry smartphones and services, and it now looks as if Fido has reached that time and making those rumours fact.
The word is Fodo reps have been told that BlackBerry is coming and training for the BlackBerry will start as of next week. Apparently several Fido employees have let it be known that the first BlackBerry to be offered by Fido will be the BlackBerry Pearl 8100.
Research In Motion has already stated that the Pearl 8100 is near the end of its life and production will cease, so there shouldn’t be many for Fido to order, but one could suppose they could take over their parent company Rogers 8100 stock.
