Maxis Communications Berhad, Malaysia’s leading mobile operator and Research In Motion have announced the availability of the RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip smartphone in Malaysia.

The BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip will be available via all twenty-nine Maxis Centres across Malaysia at a retail price of RM1199 when purchased with a Value 150 post-paid plan and BlackBerry service package on a 2 year contract.

To achieve the adoption of the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip with its customers, Maxis also offers a reduction on the BlackBerry Service unlimited data package with a reduced price to RM120 per month rather than the original RM154.
