Moblica has announced anew offering with the Snaptu which looks to be a cool mobile widget platform similar to take of the Nokia WigSets.

The Snaptu application is free to download and has the idea to make some cash via advertising, and once downloaded you can easily remove or add Snaptu apps.

Moblica has signed with several content providers and media companies and has opened their API for developers. While as of December 08 live on Snaptu are MyMovies movie reviews and UK charts, Fancyapint London pub guide, Accuweather global weather forecast, Goal Ventures live football scores, Google Calendar, Picasa, and is available from Snaptu.com.
