In today’s economic climate one can expect most companies to do less well even in the mobile phone world, but it appears that smartphone manufacturer HTC has announced that they are looking to expect a 2009 fiscal year that will expand HTC smartphone sales in double digits.

Peter Chou, HTC’s CEO believes HTC will be able to tough it out in the short term but will see double growth figures all the way through 09 which they say is due to the smartphone market’s recession resistant growth.

HTC’s smartphone offering for 2009 seem fairly solid although form factors will be nothing new.
