Apple has come to be known as the somewhat confused lord of their Apple iTunes App Store which recent browser apps that violate Apple’s “duplication of functionality” policy being allowed into the App Store.
However it now looks as if Apple are wising up with their latest move which is to give previously dumped Podcaster, dumped for apparently encroaching on iTunes territory, a new lease of life.
For some reason Podcaster now gets the thumbs up rather than the thumbs down by Apple although Podcaster now appears as an RSS player and loses its built-in directory of casts. Does this then mean Apple has reshaped policy, or has a simple name change actually fooled Apple?
