We knew Motorola were going to axe 4000 jobs, but there weren’t many details as to exactly where they were going to be cut from, well apparently 1000 of them are from one facility in China.

The word is these 1000 employees are being booted from the research and development team of the mobile phone department with the software platform project team taking the brunt of the dismissals.

This leaves just 100 employees remaining at the Motorola plant in Beijing China. Yet Motorola still affirm they are committed to growth within the Chinese market. Guess they can manage it with just 100 staff then.
