Nokia intros Voluntary Resignation Package to dump a 1000 employees
The economic downturn is affecting everyone including the world’s largest mobile phone company, Nokia as Nokia has just announced a new round of cost saving measures that will take effect as of next week.
Nokia will introduce a new Voluntary Resignation Package, which basically invited employees to opt to amicably volunteer to leave Nokia.
The new Voluntary Resignation Package takes off as of the 1st of March and remains open until such times as 1000 Nokia employees have taken the offer. Furthermore, Nokia is also requesting staff to opt for unpaid leave for up to 1 month in an aim to save costs.
