The RIM BlackBerry Bold has gained a forth band of 3G in Japan at the request of Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo, so this means the Japanese can now enjoy a quad band 3G BlackBerry Bold.
The new quad band 3G BlackBerry Bold went on sale this weekend in Japan carrying 800/850/1900/2100 MHz bands for UMTS/HSDPA.
So does this mean that Research In Motion will apply a forth band of 3G to any country that requests it? Probably not, but then it obviously doesn’t hurt to ask just like NTT DoCoMo did does it.
