The Apple iPhone is to gain a few more mobile games as id Software brings their 1st person shooter games to the Apple iPhone.

Id Software has amongst its portfolio such mobile games as Quake, Doom and Wolfenstein; and we have already seen Quake ported to a jailbroken Apple iPhone but now it’s becoming official.

The word is id Software is working on improving the Quake III codebase so it can work on the Apple iPhone. So get ready iPhoners for some gaming action about to hit your Apple iTunes App store in the near future.
