So, the word is that to combat the likes of BlackBerry and the Apple iPhone in mobile space, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO, told attendees at the CIO Summit that Windows Mobile development will be stepping up a notch.
What Ballmer said was…“There are opportunities for us to accelerate our execution in this area. We’ve done a lot of work to make sure we have a team that will be able to accelerate it.”
So basically, according to Ballmer, Microsoft is going to get their finger out and hopefully pull back some of the mobile space lost to the likes of the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry smartphones and even Android. Perhaps Microsoft will push out Windows Mobile 7, but one thing is for sure, Windows Mobile 7 better be what it’s expected to be if Microsoft wants to stay in the game.
