Cydia Store Vs iTunes: Jailbroken iPhone Apps to be sold
Jay Freeman launched the Cydia store on Saturday whereby independent developers can sell their application for jailbroken Apple iPhone and iPod Touch handsets, and thus not be restricted by Apple’s iTunes App Store requirements.
Freeman states he will charge developers no more commission than Apple for his Cydia store billing service, Cydia app installer includes such apps as Pdanet that turns the iPhone into a WiFi hotspot, Cycoder that turns the iPhone into a camcorder, and Freeman’s Cyntact which shows images in the contacts list.
There is also a rumour that two more iPhone app stores are in the making, one of which will bring porn games to the iPhone.
Will Cydia App Store become as popular as iTunes App Store, what do you think?
