The new Apple iTunes 8.1 update delivers the new iTunes DJ feature, a feature that was previously known as “Party Shuffle” but now iTunes DJ is actually a useful and fun addition which works great on the Apple iPhone.

iTunes DJ works like this…go into settings and click on “Allow guests to request songs with Remote for iPhone or iPod touch,” this will then enable your device with the Remote application installed to locate your iTunes library and when guests set your library of the source they can choose any song in your library to play next.

One downside is you’ll need to allow others access to your Apple iPhone WiFi so they can locate your iTunes library, but it’s no hardship to simply remove your WiFi password for that special party occasion and tune your Apple iPhone into a social jukebox.
