There seems to be a problem cropping up involving merchant accounts and Android Developer accounts, as word coming out of the Android Community has it that developers are experiencing difficulty linking the two accounts.

The major problem with this for developers is if you can’t link the merchant account to the Android Developer account, then you simply can’t list paid applications on the Android Market.

This is obviously a big deal for Android developers, but it appears that Google’s support team is keeping rather quiet on the subject. No doubt Google will pull itself together in due course and sort this matter out or become inundated with emails from annoyed Android developers.
